It is really quite simple. The more people who stand up to criticize those who want us to sit down and conform, the less likely it will be for those who stand up to be punished with violence. But the less people who stand up, dare draw cartoons of Muhammad, for example, the more likely it will be for them to be punished with violence. That in essence was the point made by Molly Norris’ Everyone Draw Muhammad Day. It is too bad that Norris later reneged… for fear of imminent violence. It is too bad that Obama and Hillary did not stand up for Norris. We must stand up, use our full names, not hide behind anonymity, and criticize for the sake of freedom of speech and freedom of expression. We must stand up in support of others who stand up. Yes freedom of speech is critical, however, without the freedom of individuals to arm themselves against both criminals and tyranny, freedom of speech will be lost whenever it becomes inconvenient to the powers on, or behind, the thrones. It is a blessing for Mr. Hedegaard to be alive today and to have survived the attempt on his life. I believe we, his readers and admirers, are also blessed to have been spared his premature death. He has a lot more to contribute to the fight against the fascism of the ideology of Islam in the West. We should also learn from his example of not cowering to intimidation and threat of violence. I believe he is alive today because he confronted his attacker and did not submit or try to run away. For if he had, he would not be with us today. He did not give that bastard any quarter, and that gave him the opportunity to save himself. We have to follow that example in order for us to survive.

A 4th generation American of Scandinavian descent, I am researching the Scandinavian countries for a trip there in a few years. What beautiful countries. I stand with you all the way in exposing what islam is all about. However I am a farmer and I have to face reality,the pen will not win,it’s going to take tools with much sharper points. When dealing with animals I’ve occasionally found that one has to apply a not so gentle jab to the tail end of said animal with a pitchfork to keep it from walking all over you in the future.This will offend many people,but someone has to say it.You and your colleagues are very brave folks.
